Pinehurst Pathology Center (PPC) is seeking an AP/CP or CP only Board-Certified Pathologist to assume the role of staff pathologist at Firsthealth of the Carolinas Moore regional hospital in Pinehurst, NC. The department currently handles over 15,000 surgical cases, 2000 Non-gyn cytology cases and 8000 Pap smears. We are looking for someone with experience in clinical pathology including clinical chemistry and hematology as well as directorships in several smaller satellite hospitals.
Responsibilities include sign out surgical pathology, supervision/medical director of clinical laboratories, active participation in hospital activities including tumor boards, quality improvement initiatives and system wide meetings.
We are a practice of 4 full-time pathologist, 1 part time pathologist and 1 full time pathology assistant.
Candidates must have excellent diagnostic skills in surgical pathology, be personable, excel at communication and be comfortable with being medical director of several areas of the lab.

Transfusion Medicine Specialist

HNL Lab Medicine is seeking a full-time Transfusion Medicine Specialist with fellowship training and board certification/eligibility in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine (BB/TM). Florida Woman Care, the largest OB/GYN group practice in the state of Florida, has a state-of-the-art CAP-accredited lab in the Tampa area with specialists in GYN and Cytopathology to produce the highest quality diagnoses of laboratory specimens. We are seeking an academic Hematopathologist to join our team providing Hematopathology (HP) and Transfusion Medicine (TM) services including coagulation testing, bone marrow examinations, flow cytometry, hemoglobinopathies, molecular diagnostics and routine/special lab hematology. The successful candidate will contribute to all areas of HP-TM related service work; depending on the candidate's training and experience, a subset of this service may be considered.
A major client of EORLA, The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is a quaternary academic health sciences center with a large leukemia program treating approximately 80 new acute leukemia patients and performing over 200 bone marrow transplants per year. The program is helping Ontario build capacity for CAR T-cell therapy for ALL and lymphoma patients. TOH's benign Hematology program produces world-leading research in thrombosis. We operate the department's state-of-the-art molecular oncology diagnostic laboratory which includes NGS platforms for assessing Hematologic malignancies in support of precision medicine and clinical trials.
Candidates must be eligible for licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and must have, or be eligible to obtain, certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or acceptable equivalent) in Hematological Pathology. CPSO pathway 3 or 4 candidates from the US will be considered.

Transfusion and Transplantation Medicine Physician
CALGARY, ALBERTA (CANADA).
Alberta Precision Laboratories Ltd. (APL) Transfusion and Transplantation Medicine (TTM) program is seeking a qualified Full-Time Physician to provide provincial support for Cellular Therapy and Transfusion Medicine laboratories. A physician with completion of the Royal College Area of Focused Competency in Transfusion Medicine is preferred but a Hematopathologist, General Pathologist, Clinical Hematologist or Anesthesiologist with training and/or expertise in both transfusion medicine and cellular therapy would be considered. This position will consist of involvement with different APL laboratory sites and TTM initiatives across the province.
The successful candidate will provide medical direction for transfusion and cellular therapy related clinical services, and work closely with clinicians in hematology, oncology, transplantation, neurology, obstetrics, cardiothoracic and trauma surgery. Clinical duties will also include offering medical oversight to technical and regulatory processes and procedures within TTM, including quality assurance, biovigilance, hemovigilance and occurrence management. Part of the role includes the ongoing promotion of safe and effective cellular therapeutics, blood components and plasma protein products in addition to the provision of education for colleagues, allied health professionals and trainees in postgraduate as well as undergraduate training programs.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have or be eligible for certification as a Hematologist, Anesthesiologist, Hematopathologist or General Pathologist with transfusion medicine certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in addition to a Cellular Therapy fellowship or clinical experience in biomanufacturing and good manufacturing practices (GMP). They must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Physicians must also have current Canadian Medical Protective Association coverage. Candidates must also have a strong interest and/or documented experience in quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
Compensation
An excellent remuneration package including relocation assistance is provided. Starting remuneration is commensurate with the level of fellowship training and experience. Remuneration range for a Transfusion and Transplantation Medicine physician in Alberta is $364,597.00 to $424,123.00.

- AP/CP Hematopathologist role based at Integris Health Southwest Medical Center, a community hospital with a busy oncology service in South Oklahoma City. Some general surgical and frozen sign-out is to be expected.
- AP/CP General Surgical Pathologist, with or without GI specialty training, based in a large tertiary care hospital with a heavy transplant service. The case mix includes liver, lung, heart, transplant, GU, neuropathology, GI, and general surgical pathology. Call and frozen sections are to be expected.
The roles are suited for pathologists that have a commitment to patient care, diagnostic accuracy and teamwork within a regional hospital setting. Each role will join a larger team of about 10 experienced pathologists with expertise in varying specialties.

Co-Director or Associate Director, Hematology Laboratory and Hematopathology

The Departments of Laboratory Medicine (DLM) and Pathology at Boston Children’s Hospital (a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School) are seeking a Hemopathologist to join the faculty as a Co-Director or Associate Director of the Hematology Laboratory in DLM and Medical Director of the flow cytometry laboratory. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience leading a Hematology Laboratory/Hemopathology Service at the Assistant Director, Associate Director, or Director level. This is a joint appointment between the two departments to provide clinical service in laboratory hematology, flow cytometry (DLM) and hemopathology (Pathology). Clinical laboratory expertise in hematology, coagulation and flow cytometry is essential.
A MD, or MD/PhD degree is required. American Board of Pathology certification in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology (or both) as well as subspecialty certification in Hemopathology are necessary.
Candidates for this position must meet criteria for appointment as an Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School. Appointment as Co-Director or Associate Director, academic rank, and salary will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments, and salary will be competitive.
The Hematology-Coagulation laboratory provides state-of-the-art testing in routine and special Hematology and Coagulation. The Flow cytometry laboratory provides diagnostic and research services for hematological malignancies and immunology.
The Hematopathology Service is responsible for approximately 800 bone marrow specimens, 1100 leukemia and lymphoma flow cytometry specimens, 150 lymph node specimens, 100 surgical specimens from other sites, and 200 consultation cases annually. The expected hematopathology service requirement is 10-12 weeks and on call coverage of 13 weekends annually.
