Summary:
WMC Advanced Physician Services, PC, the academic practice of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), seeks a full-time board-certified anatomic pathologist to join our Department of Pathology as Chief of Anatomic Pathology. The candidate is expected to provide leadership and oversee all aspects of anatomic pathology services. The candidate will lead a group of general and subspecialty-trained surgical pathologists, assist the director to integrate AP services across the network as per institutional need, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements of CAP, NY State Department of Health, and other applicable regulatory agencies. Fellowship training or expertise in one or more of the following areas is preferred: pulmonary pathology, gastrointestinal/liver pathology, pediatric pathology, or other major divisions of surgical pathology. Additional expertise or experience in molecular pathology would be a plus but not an absolute requirement. The candidate will also support institutional academic and scholarly missions and participate in providing education and training of students, residents, and staff. The candidate will join an academic department, which has a strong and diverse faculty, an ACGME-accredited residency program, and a supportive atmosphere for practicing anatomic pathology.

Pediatric Pathologist, Department of Pathology
Nationwide Children’s Hospital

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine (DPLM) at Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) affiliated with the Department of Pathology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine seek an academic pathologist at the level of assistant, associate or full professor to join one of the largest pediatric pathology and laboratory medicine departments in the U.S.
The DPLM is in the midst of a multimillion dollar construction project that included renovation of the gross room and histology lab in the last 2 years. EPIC Beaker implementation is in the early phase with the goal of going live in 2026/2027.
The successful applicant should be accomplished or willing to develop expertise in medical renal pathology, and other areas of surgical pathology. Interest in AP Pathology Informatics will also be an asset. Our digital pathology program went live fully in 2024. We are in the process of exploring Artificial Intelligence algorithms for supplementing assessment of digital slides.
Qualifications include board certification in anatomic pathology; certification or eligibility in pediatric pathology will be an asset. Faculty are fully supported to pursue observerships to develop their subspecialty where applicable and have access to a robust mentorship program with mentors at NCH and other institutions.
The Department of Pathology accessions over 8,000 surgical specimens, over 1,200 cytology specimens and performs over 90 autopsies annually.
The Institute for Genomic Medicine clinical laboratory processes 7,000 specimens annually and is integrated with clinical laboratories and the Research Institute.

We are a growing subspecialty practice with annual surgical pathology volume of approximately 45,000 cases at the quaternary care academic hub: the Hershey Medical Center, Cancer Institute and Children’s Hospital. Penn State Health is a multi-hospital system that encompasses 1 academic site and 4 separately staffed regional community hospitals. The department has a fully accredited residency program with 16 positions, and 4 ACGME-accredited fellowships. TCH, the nation's largest children's hospital, is a member of the U.S. News and World Report's 2024 Honor Roll of Best Children's Hospitals. The Texas Children’s Hospital complex, located within the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical campus in the world, includes the original Abercrombie Building, West Tower, Legacy Tower, Mark A. Wallace Tower and the Feigin Tower. Within these buildings are a full range of primary to complex pediatric services, in addition to pediatric-focused research and administration. Adult services within the TCH complex include the Pavilion for Women, a stand-alone center for high risk obstetrics, gynecology, fetal medicine and fetal surgery; and the newly opened Adult Congenital Heart program, located in Legacy Tower. The broader TCH facilities network is comprised of the West Campus, a community hospital in suburban West Houston; and The Woodlands, the first hospital devoted to children’s care for communities north of Houston. Expansion in the size and scope of Texas Children’s Hospital necessitates additional support in pediatric and perinatal surgical and autopsy pathology. The combined annual surgical case volume exceeds 17,000 specimens, 3,000 additional cytopathology cases and 120 pediatric and perinatal autopsies annually. Within the Department of Pathology at TCH are additional Divisions of Genomic Medicine, Laboratory Medicine, Informatics, Transfusion and Coagulation, Community Pathology, and Discovery.
Pathologists at Texas Children's Hospital have primary full-time academic appointments in the Department of Pathology & Immunology at Baylor College of Medicine, and are expected to contribute to educational and scholarly activities in the Department of Pathology based at Texas Children's Hospital, as well as pathology resident and fellow education. There are exceptional opportunities for collaboration and research activities that include TCH and extend across numerous institutions within the Texas Medical Center.

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida, seeks a pediatric pathologist. The successful candidate should have an M.D. degree and possess (or be eligible for) unrestricted Florida medical licensure. The Department of Pathology at the University of Utah is seeking two pathologists with training in the diagnosis, teaching, and clinical research of pediatric pathology. The positions are needed to balance recent growth with the opening of a second hospital campus and retirements in this long-stable group. Our cohesive group of nine anatomic pathologists is recruiting a board certified/eligible pediatric pathologist to immediately join our team to care for children in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The Seattle Children’s Department of Laboratories has a decades long tradition of providing patient-focused services and engaging in collaborative research and training of house staff and medical students. Candidates must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree and qualify for licensure in Washington and a faculty appointment at the University of Washington. The individual will join an interactive and collegial group that is closely linked to our full-service clinical laboratory overseen by 16 additional M.D. and Ph.D-trained faculty directors working with 200 technical staff who collectively perform over three million clinical laboratory tests annually, including molecular microbiology, NGS, flow cytometry and biochemical genetics.
We serve the greater Seattle region and cover a referral base that includes Washington, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska. Director of Autopsy Pathology
Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine is seeking a physician-leader at the Assistant/Associate/Professor level to serve as Director of Autopsy Pathology and Medical Director for the Autopsy service. Clinical responsibilities include primary coverage of the autopsy service. The candidate will serve as rotation director for the residency program. Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in teaching gross anatomy and pathology. Responsibilities include oversight of autopsy policies and procedures and compliance with accreditation requirements in partnership with Hospital Laboratory Services. Approximately 60% time will be spent in clinical duties involving autopsy pathology. Experience in pediatric pathology is beneficial.
Participation in the research mission is expected. The successful candidate must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO and must be board-certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology.
A California professional license or eligibility for licensure in California is required.

Stony Brook University's Department of Pathology is seeking a faculty member to serve with responsibilities and duties in Pediatric Surgical Pathology and medical education.
Academic rank at the Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience and academic record.

Required Qualifications:
MD, DO (or foreign equivalent). American Board of Pathology board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology. Eligibility for New York State licensure. Strong diagnostic skills in Pediatric Pathology and the potential to serve as an outstanding educator of medical students, Pathology residents, and clinical fellows. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology or a sub-specialty area, including, but not limited to, breast, gynecologic, genitourinary, head & neck, bone and soft tissue or GI pathology. In lieu of fellowship training, demonstration of expertise in a surgical pathology sub-specialty will be considered. Demonstration of scholarly contributions in clinical/translational research and experience in medical education.
