Description
Zetiq, a fully-owned subsidiary of Micromedic Technologies Ltd., is pleased to announce the European launch of its CellDetect® staining kit for the monitoring of bladder cancer recurrence in urine specimens.
CellDetect® is an innovative staining platform which uses both color and morphology in order to discriminate between normal and neoplastic cells. Applicable to a variety of specimens including urine, smear, blood and biopsy, CellDetect® highlights suspicious cells in red-purple, therefore enhancing accuracy and increasing throughput.
CellDetect® Bladder was shown to provide high sensitivity, particularly for the detection of low grade tumors. Suitable for both conventional and liquid-based cytology, the technology uses standard lab staining processes and is potentially applicable for digital cytopathology.
